Traceability pack basics
Traceability means the buyer can prove what they received, where it came from, and what tests support it.
CoC
Certificate of Conformity. Supplier statement that item meets specification and purchase order requirements.
MTR EN 10204
Material test report. Used for metals and critical components. Often requested as 3.1 or 3.2 depending on project.
Test and calibration
For instruments and measurement tools: calibration certificate, test reports, and serial number mapping.
Why it matters
Most disputes start when the item arrives and documents are missing or inconsistent. When you keep packs consistent, buyer trust rises and repeat RFQs increase.
